CTET Preparation Strategy that can help the CTET aspirant to sail through the exam in minimal time.

In CTET there is no negative marking. The candidates should still attempt the questions carefully to avoid careless mistakes. There are 150 questions in the exam which are divided into 5 sections. Since it is a multiple choice paper, elimination can also be practiced but with care.

Best Preparation Tips:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy: This subject is common for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidate must be well versed in the psychology of the child. Be clear with the development stages of a child, the special needs of a child and thinkers and thoughts. This is a very important part of the question paper.
  • Hindi and English language: There are 30 multiple choice questions in each of the language papers. Both have questions from reading passages, poems, and basic language use. Read NCERTs till class 10th for both the languages. It will help in increasing the reading and processing speed. Learning new words of both languages will greatly enrich the vocabulary.
  • Practice as many mocks as possible. You will get an idea of your own skills and a better understanding of the sections that you need to focus on.
  • Solve previous year questions. By doing this, you will get a better idea of the type of questions asked and the psychology of the test makers.
  • Often previous year questions are repeated. Attempting already practiced questions will greatly increase the confidence of the test takers and help them concentrate more.
