CTET Previous Year Paper Analysis for better insights into the nature of questions asked in CTET exam:

There were two papers- Paper 1 is for the candidates who wish to teach class 1-5. Paper 2 is for the candidates who wish to teach class 6-8th.

Section wise analysis:

  • EVS (Environmental Studies): This was a very easy section and the most scoring one as well. This was entirely based on the NCERT's of class 4th and 5th.
  • Mathematics: There were a few tricky questions based on Mathematics pedagogy. It had easy calculations but a difficult problem-solving part. A score of around 24 was achievable.
  • English: It was comparatively difficult for candidates who opted for English as language 1. Candidates who had opted for English as the second language found it much easier. A score in the range of 20-25 could have been achieved.
  • Child Development and Pedagogy (CDP): This section was trickier than the rest of the paper. Elimination method was used in this section.
  • Hindi: This was a moderate section. Candidates with Hindi as their mother tongue found this section easy. However, there were a few puritan Hindi words in the passages which made the questions tougher.

The overall difficulty level of the paper was easy to moderate. The candidate could have easily scored between 115-120 marks out of 150.
