CAT 2025 Registration

IIM Bangalore has released CAT Exam 2022 Registration Date on the official website of CAT. The registration process of the exam will begin from 3 August 2022. CAT Exam Registration will end on 14 September as per the notification released. The Application Procedure of the exam can be completed by visiting its official website i.e. iimcat.ac.in. Candidates must register themselves for further procedure of application. Since the registration process of CAT Exam will start from 3 August 2022 and the last date to fill the cat application form is 14 September 2022, the candidates are advised to fill the form as soon as possible.

There are basically two steps to register for the examination:

CAT REGISTRATION PROCESS

Since the application procedure of CAT Exam includes two steps namely Registration Process and Filling of Application Form, it is very important to understand how the registration process needs to be completed and what it requires to be eligible to fill the form.

• Visit the official website i.e. iimcat.ac.in.
• New Users are advised to register first by clicking on “Registration”.
• Following are the instructions one must follow while registering:

Registration Process

Candidates must make sure that all the details filled in by them are correct as any incorrect detail may lead to cancelation of the candidature. Following are the details that candidates must fill in to complete the registration process:

• Name of the Candidate
• Date of Birth
• Email Address
• Country
• Mobile Number

Note* After the completion of this process, an OTP is generated and sent to the registered email id and Mobile number. The OTP needs to be entered in the section given below and submitted.

After entering captcha, the candidates are advised to click on “Go to Application Form” tab and fill the application form. Completion of Registration Process gets students a user id and password on their registered email id and mobile number.

These details such as user id and password play an essential role during filling of the application form. The application form consists of several segments such as Personal Details, Academics, Work Experience, Programs, Test City, and Payment.

CAT APPLICATION PROCEDURE

After the successful completion of Registration Procedure, the candidates are redirected to the page where they must fill the application form. They must read the important instructions segment while proceeding towards filling of application form.

• Log in to the official website of CAT and click on “Existing User” tab.
• Enter the login id and password sent on candidates' registered email id and password.
• Log In

Following are the details candidates must fill in order to complete the application form:

• Personal Details
• Academics
• Work Experience
• Program
• Test City
• Payment

Before filling the application form, the candidates must be aware of general instructions that must be followed. If these instructions are not being followed, it may create discrepancies in the application form. Following are the instructions one must follow:

PERSONAL DETAILS

1. Candidates' Name
2. Father's/Husband's/Guardian's Name
3. Date of Birth
4. Candidate's Gender
5. Nationality
6. Category
7. Address
8. Country
9. Emergency Mobile Number

Uploading of Documents

The candidates must upload and submit scanned copy of passport sized photograph and signature. The documents must be self-attested and clearly visible.

Note* Candidates belonging to reserved categories must upload a scanned copy of NS-OBC/SC/ST/EWS certificate.

After uploading the documents, the candidates must click on submit and proceed toward the further procedure of application.

ACADEMIC DETAILS

Following are the academic details one must possess and enter in order to be eligible to fill the application form:

SSC/10^th/Equivalent Details

1. SSC/10^th/Equivalent Board Name
2. Month/Year of Completion
3. Maximum Marks
4. Total Marks Obtained
5. Aggregate Percentage

HSC/12^th/Equivalent/Diploma Course Details

• Course Type such as 12^th/Equivalent or Diploma
• Maximum Marks
• Total Marks Obtained
• Aggregate Percentage

Bachelor's Degree Details

Two option are given asking if the candidate is in final year of graduation or has completed it. Choose either of the two options.

Master's Degree Details

In this section, the candidates the candidates are free to choose if they want to enter their master's details or not.

After entering these details, the candidates must save and continue to the next step.

WORK EXPERIENCE DETAILS

In this segment, the candidates must enter their work experience. Following are the instructions one must know or follow:

• Only full-time experience after graduation must be entered.
• Any Part Time/Project/Internship/Article ship/Pre graduation work experience will not be considered and hence, must not be entered.
• Date when you started working in the industry and the date you left that particular industry must be entered correctly.

PROGRAMS

Here in this section, the candidates can select their preferred program and they are free to select any number of programs. For each program selected by the candidates, there must be a preferred interview city selected.

There are two interview city preferences given:

1. Interview City 1
2. Interview City 2

Save and Continue after filling the program preferences.

TEST CITY

This is the second last step towards the completion of filling of application form. The candidates are required to select their exam city preference. The candidates are free to choose preferred four test cities as per their convenience.

After the selection of four preferred exam cities, click on save and continue.

Note* The exam is being conducted in 140 Test Cities across the country.

PAYMENT

Processing the payment of application fee is the last step to the application procedure. The payment can be made through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/Cash Card or Wallet. Following are the two payment modes accepted:

• Bill Desk
• PayU

The candidates must process the payment of INR 2000 (INR 1000 for SC/STPwD/DA) as application fee. There is an additional Transaction Processing Charge while making the payment online.
