Calcutta University Courses and Fees

Calcutta University Admission 2024

Calcutta University admissions are based on entrance exams for courses like B.Tech, BA LLB, B.Ed, MA, M.Sc, and MCA to name a few. The university invites applications for CU Admission 2024 via online mode. Students planning to pursue UG courses at the University of Calcutta must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board. Similarly, for PG courses, students must hold a graduation degree in the relevant field from a recognized university.

Calcutta University Cutoff

Calcutta University offers admission to certain courses based on cutoff/scores in national and university-level entrance exams. For B.Tech, CU accepts WBJEE/JEE Main cutoff, for M.Tech, CU accepts GATE cutoff, for MBA, CU accepts CAT/MAT cutoff, and for courses like BA LLB and B.Ed, the university conducts its own entrance exam.

Calcutta University Placement

The University of Calcutta has a dedicated placement and training cell with an excellent track record of student placement. The university conducts both on-campus and off-campus placement drives every year. As per NIRF Report 2023, a total of 4,342 PG, 652 UG, and 32 integrated PG students received placement offers in the 2022 placement drive. Calcutta University top recruiters include Accenture, Cognizant, Jacobs, CMARC India Private Limited, and HSBC India.

However, CU Kolkata hasn’t released placement data for 2023.
