Easwari Engineering College was established in the Academic year of 1996-97 and is situated in Bharathi Salai, Chennai. It is a private self-financing institute established with the approval of the Government of Tamil Nadu and AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education), New Delhi. It is an affiliated university. Since 2002, it is affiliated to Anna University (Chennai) and previously it was affiliated with University of Madras. It is placed under the category of A-grade universities by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). It is a division of Sri Ramaswamy Memorial Group of Educational Institutions for higher learning (SRM).

Infrastructure

The infrastructure includes 3 main blocks.

• The Main Block

• Mechanical Engineering Block

 The Main block that covers an area of 17449 square meters and encompassed with EEE/CSE/IT departments. Second block is known as Electronics Block 1 and 2; it means the block is divided into two divisions and covers up to 8195 square meters in terms of area. This block contains ECE and EIE departments. The last block is Mechanical engineering block which is an exclusive block for the mechanical department and 2969 square meters in area. There are three departments as well.

Easwari Engineering College Admission Criteria

The admission to this college is conducted by Anna University. A state level counseling called TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission) takes place in order to rank the students. The ranking is done on the basis of 12^th merit list. The selection is made on the basis of valid TNEA score.

According to the admission policy of Easwari Engineering College, the admission procedure for UG

• Students seeking admission to the UG programs such as B.E./B.Tech. should have passed higher secondary examination (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. These parameters have been set by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
• Candidates with Diploma in Engineering/Technology are eligible to apply for admission to 2^nd year.
